ILLA has been awarded a contract by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation for implementation of its advanced CHP cleavage process at the MCC phenol plant in Kashima. The project targets complete revamp of MCC two-step (Kellogg type) process of technical CHP Cleavage in boiling acetone medium using ILLA two-step process of homogeneous CHP cleavage, FAN-2000TM Under the contract. ILLA provides license, BEP services, technical assistance during the start-up and will perform Base Line Study of other stages of the plant . The plant in Kashima produces 280 kTA of phenol annually, the start-up of the revamped facility is scheduled for 2014.
