November 2000

SARATOVORGSYNTEZ, Saratov, Russia -- The first phase of phenol plant revamp has been completed

2000

FENOQUIMIA, Mexico -- a year has passed since the start-up of three major ILLA technologies (Oxidation, Cleavage, AMS Production). After the revamp, the plant has the best consumption coefficient in the world. It is proven that even small capacity plants (42 kt/y phenol) can be efficient.

1999-2000

For the first time in history, due to ILLA's technologies, an industrial CHP Cleavage Unit produced an AMS yield of more than 90 mol% with minimum formation of organic wastes (phenol tar)

2000

For the first time ever since the commissioning of the world first phenol plant, an effective solution was found to the challenge of 2-MBF formation see description of ILLA's Hydroxyl Acetone and Carbonyls Removal process in US Patent 6,066,767
