ILLA is successfully proceeding with the revision of BOREALIS Polymers Oy detailed engineering project for construction of a modernized CHP Cleavage Unit at their Porvoo Phenol Plant.
ILLA International was awarded a contract in the phenol plant revamp expansion project of SAMARAORGSINTEZ (Novokuibyshevsk, Russia) (refer to "Hydrocarbon Processing" Oct., 2005, p.13).
ILLA has finished the lab pilot tests of a pioneer process for production of phenol and acetone virtually free of wastes, so called Wasteless Process of Phenol Production (WEPP). Works for creating a semi-commercial pilot unit have been started.
A new 200 kt/y phenol train was started up at FORMOSA CHEMICALS AND FIBER CORPORATION, Taiwan. Two ILLA's technologies (Ammoxidation and FAN2000TM) were successfully implemented at this plant. ILLA team participated in the start-up.
